Reader access
Accessibility
Last updated: July 5, 2026Davidson Creative Works wants readers to be able to browse books, series pages, author information, and store links without fighting the interface.
Our goal
We aim for a practical WCAG AA baseline: readable contrast, keyboard-accessible navigation, visible focus states, meaningful alt text, responsive layouts, and motion that respects reduced-motion preferences.
Current approach
- Navigation is available through keyboard controls and a mobile menu.
- Core pages use semantic headings, links, and landmarks.
- Book covers and author images include alt text where they carry meaning.
- Animation and parallax are treated as enhancement rather than required content.
- The site does not require reader accounts, checkout forms, or newsletter forms to access core book information.
Known limits
The site includes visual book covers, atmospheric images, and external platform links. Third-party platforms control their own accessibility support once you leave Davidson Creative Works.
